Hong Kong Part 1 (The Hotel)

So after leaving Seoul, we hopped on a flight to Hong Kong.  We left Seoul in the evening and landed in Hong Kong pretty late ~10:45.  By the time we got to the hotel it was close to midnight.  But the hotel....

We knew we were only going to be in Hong Kong for one night, so we decided to splurge on the hotel with our Marriott points and stayed at the Ritz Carlton.  It is the tallest hotel in the world as it occupies the top 16 floors of the 7th tallest building in the world.  I had sent them an email asking to be upgraded to a harbor view room because the worst they could say is no...right?

We did get the upgraded room with the harbor view....and what a view...

I had mentioned in the email that we were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary in hopes of just getting the chance to enjoy the above view.  So they went above and beyond the upgraded room...

Rose petals in our hallway...
Rose petals on the bed with a 10 in the middle...
A heart shaped chocolate cake (that was delicious) with a handwritten note from the staff...
A bath with rose petals and candles...
 What an amazing experience.

When we woke up the next morning, the clouds did not let us enjoy the view.
The view of the hotel, with the top still in the clouds...

However when we came back later that afternoon the clouds had cleared (although we no longer had our room keys).

No we didn't take the Rolls to the airport, but maybe next time...
