More Football

So we took the opportunity to take Avery to another game this past weekend with similar results.

We had to go see the band and the players come in again.  This time Mr. Wolf got a high/low five.
Mrs. Wolf got another hug.

She showed the Wolf family how to do the Wolf sign.
So we had to go over and get closer to the band.  This is when they first started moving and playing as the players buses pulled up in the background.
She got pretty excited about it.
And then watched with pure amazement.
Inside the game, she was her happy self.
Until the band started playing....then it was all focus.
During halftime, she didn't move a muscle.

Throwback Thursday

A throwback to Avery's first football season.  She didn't go to any of the games that year, but she was still a fan!  Go Wolfpack!

Football Game

This past weekend we got the opportunity to take Avery with us to the football game.  The kickoff was at 6pm, so we drove to the game during naptime and prayed that she would close her eyes.  We were a bit concerned that she would be too excited to nap when we were packing the car when she insisted that she would wait in the car until we were ready to go so that we wouldn't forget her.  She kept yelling "LETS GO TO THE FOOTBALL GAME!" as we were packing everything up.  She did take a nap in the car and had a pretty awesome day.

We got there early to do some tailgating and Avery handled the heat pretty well.  We had plenty of things for her to do and she did a good job entertaining everyone with her enthusiasm.
Before the game, the cheerleaders and the band welcome the football players to the stadium.  We walked down there because Avery was pretty excited about seeing the band.  On friday night she made Laura follow her around the backyard pretending to be a marching band.  The other think she wanted to do was to see Mr. and Mrs. Wolf.  The look on her face in these pictures is pretty amazing.

Doing the wolf symbol with Mrs. Wolf.....that grin is ear to ear.

And Mrs. Wolf even got a hug.

To say that she was excited was an understatement.

Our happy little family.

Uncle David was there too to help spoil Avery.

Avery was constantly cheering and dancing throughout the game.  Several people remarked how much energy she had.  Not in the backhanded compliment kind of way of saying your kid is mis-behaved, but how much she cheered and didn't crash like most of the little kids in the stands.
Standing and cheering (and sweating) the entire game.

After the game we walked by the band and she wanted to take a closer look at a tuba and Uncle David was more than willing to help.

Lake Trip

This past weekend we went back to the lake so that Gigi and Ru could watch Avery while we sweated at the football game.  They had Anna as well so Gigi was excited about having her little girls play together.

Nothing like a good swing on the way down to the lake.  I think Anna has enough sunscreen on...
Luckily there are two so the toddlers don't have to share.
Avery was showing mommy how do to the paddle board.
The girls also had a good time digging in the sand area that Ru built for them on the beach.
I think Ru had a good time as well.
Avery and Anna playing with the 100 toys that Gigi brought.  Avery was a good big cousin for the most part.  In this picture she is surely in mid-sentence about how you are supposed to play with certain toys.
Avery also convinced Ru to put together the train tracks for her.
