Football Game

This past weekend we got the opportunity to take Avery with us to the football game.  The kickoff was at 6pm, so we drove to the game during naptime and prayed that she would close her eyes.  We were a bit concerned that she would be too excited to nap when we were packing the car when she insisted that she would wait in the car until we were ready to go so that we wouldn't forget her.  She kept yelling "LETS GO TO THE FOOTBALL GAME!" as we were packing everything up.  She did take a nap in the car and had a pretty awesome day.

We got there early to do some tailgating and Avery handled the heat pretty well.  We had plenty of things for her to do and she did a good job entertaining everyone with her enthusiasm.
Before the game, the cheerleaders and the band welcome the football players to the stadium.  We walked down there because Avery was pretty excited about seeing the band.  On friday night she made Laura follow her around the backyard pretending to be a marching band.  The other think she wanted to do was to see Mr. and Mrs. Wolf.  The look on her face in these pictures is pretty amazing.

Doing the wolf symbol with Mrs. Wolf.....that grin is ear to ear.

And Mrs. Wolf even got a hug.

To say that she was excited was an understatement.

Our happy little family.

Uncle David was there too to help spoil Avery.

Avery was constantly cheering and dancing throughout the game.  Several people remarked how much energy she had.  Not in the backhanded compliment kind of way of saying your kid is mis-behaved, but how much she cheered and didn't crash like most of the little kids in the stands.
Standing and cheering (and sweating) the entire game.

After the game we walked by the band and she wanted to take a closer look at a tuba and Uncle David was more than willing to help.

  1. She looks so grown up! I bet she was very worn out after that day! Great pictures and great memories for all.
