Toddler Oddities

I put this up on Facebook, but I thought it was funny enough to share here as well.  Last Friday, I was home with Avery while she was "sick" and couldn't go to school.  She was pretty much fine, but they didn't want her in school getting the other kids sick.  As you can imagine, she gets bored being stuck in the house all day, so we decided to go to the mall and walk around and wave at new people.

As she was walking in the mall, she kept on running up against this shiny black tile that she refused to walk on.  She would point at it and start crying or muttering, "no no no."  There was a slim part of the gray tile that she could walk on and get around it, but we encountered this problem every 20 yards or so.  I even stood on the black tile to prove that it wasn't lava or something.  We did get trapped by the black tile one time and she decided to do a 180 and start going the other way to avoid it.

I know I got lots of funny looks as I was rolling laughing as she was either crying or muttering, "no no no."  Every time I see this picture it makes me laugh.
And a happy picture later on when we got home.
