Day 3 was back to Magic Kingdom for a full day of fun. Everyone was fired up after a big day at Universal and Carter was ready to go after some extra sleep. First up was a few runs on the Barnstormer roller coaster. He tried to keep his hands up for the ride, but would put them down and yell "HOLD ON GUYS!" as the roller coaster would go down the first hill.
Next up was a visit to one of Avery's favorite princesses. Carter for some reason was really shy about Ariel. I don't know if it was because it was still early in the morning or the whole tail thing, but he didn't want his picture taken.
And then one of Avery's favorite rides....Under the Sea with the Little Mermaid.
When we cam out of the ride, Snow White was there taking pictures. I am glad I got a picture of this....Carter was picking his nose as his book was getting signed and she said "Quite the miner, huh?" I think the joke went over his head, but Laura and I had a good laugh.
He must have gotten his feelings hurt, because he didn't get his picture taken.
The Winnie the Pooh ride had a playground built into part of the line which was a god send. They got to run around a little bit with other kids while we waited.
Next up was a ride on Big Thunder mountain. Avery and I were in the second car and she loved it.
At the top of the treehouse overlooking the park.
Watching the show in front of the Castle. Carter loved the dancing and singing and that Mickey was included.
This might have been Carter's favorite ride other than the barnstomer.... yes, he liked the people mover. The adults liked it because the lines were short and the seats were comfortable. At 25~30k steps per day, it was nice to have a break.
A glimpse into my future. Avery driving one of the Tomorrowland Speedway Cars. She couldn't quite reach the pedal but had a blast steering on her own.
Ice Cream break!
Then it was time for Mommy to take a turn with Avery on the roller coaster. They are in the last car.
A trip on the jungle cruise!
Carter with his new sword and my princesses in front of the castle. Yes we bought him a plastic sword at Pirates on the Caribbean. It proved to be a great motivator to keep him focused throughout the rest of the week.
A family picture shot by a stranger, not a professional photographer obviously.
At the end of the night we headed to the Contemporary resort for a dinner with Chef Mickey. We thought the dinner was kind of late (~730), but that was the only time we could get. As you can see Carter standing on the bench, he was full speed the entire time. Like 150% speed. The boy was about as wild as he has ever been. He was the entertainment for all of the tables around us.
Carter meeting his favorite Mickey!
However, when Minnie came around, Carter was a bit standoffish not wanting his book signed or a picture. Minnie took a lot of time to interact with him and finally wore him down for a hug.
Carter meeting Donald! Notice that his is doing the Anna happy jump!
Donald Duck!
Pulto and Goofy!!!!
Towards the end of the night, they did a little dance party thing where the kids are supposed to wave their napkin around and dance around. Minnie came back over to Carter and got him involved because she thought he was so cute. That's what makes Disney so much fun as a parent to see them work that hard to make sure the kids have fun. In the gif, you can see that everyone else has stopped dancing, but Carter is trying his best to keep the party going. At this point it was nearly 9pm, so Carter had built up his fitness pretty good.
