Once we got to the hospital and got Laura checked out, they said we were in for a long night. At that point, I though cool, we will have this baby in the morning. Laura wasn't feeling a lot of pain so she was in great spirits, because had plenty of family to lean on for support during the ordeal.
After several hours of increasing labor, it was clear we were going nowhere quickly and Laura finally decided to get on some drugs to speed up the process. After a quick nap, she was ready to start pushing around noon. I didn't get any pictures of pushing for various reasons, but let's go with the fact that I was occupied trying not to look down there.
Finally after 2.5 hours of brutal pushing with her mother and sister there for support, Laura finally gave birth at 3:13pm to a beautiful baby girl. I was able to cut the cord without passing out and did an awesome job of it.
This beautiful baby girl wasted no time acting like her daddy and began to poop everywhere. I have pictures of it, but this ain't no snuff blog.
A quick cleanup and the baby was in her mother's arms.
After a few minutes enjoying the baby between the two of us, we invited everyone in to meet Miss Avery Jean Marshall.
