Smiles/Talking/Reading

Avery's teacher told us that the other day Avery was reading a book to one of her friends.  They were sitting on the couch at school and the other kid would say, "What's that?" Avery would then tell her, and the other kid would respond "yep."  She has started "reading" more and more of her books at home aloud to us.  I know she really isn't reading, but it is still fun to hear her do it.  She also loves pointing out the letters on signs that we pass on the road.  We were shopping and she shouted out "B! J! S!" as we passed the sign for BJ's warehouse.

The other story I have is around her school activities.  Everyday they seem to do some sort of art project.  Glue this to that, scribble crayon on an egg basket cut out.  Color on this and you have Van Gogh's Starry Night.  The teachers then put the pieces in her box for us to take home and cherish.  We do actually have a wall of her artwork in our dining room, mostly because we can't decide on actual pictures to hang....but I digress.  So she was showing off her last stack of work and we asked her what it was.  She said "basket of eggs, bunny rabbit, etc."  When we got to one of her more "modern" pieces she replied with "I dunno...." then paused and said "ARTWORK!"  That is genius right there...

Anyways, enjoy the pictures of my little buddy.
