Professional Pictures Preview

So this past weekend we decided to get some professional pictures made.  Laura worried about it the entire weekend if Avery's naps would line up to when the pictures would be taken and if the weather would hold out and not rain on our day.

First Steps

This weekend Avery was more and more willing to stand up on her own for a second or two.  We were taking pictures outside and she managed to stand up for about 15 seconds on her own.  Steps were just days away.  So tonight she seemed to be in a good mood (big surprise) and we stood her up to take a couple pictures.  She decided to walk.

Easton

Avery got to hang out with her future not-boyfriend Easton at her party.

Lawn Mower

This was a present from the Sawyers that she fell in love with.  As soon as we put her behind it she was pushing it all over the yard.  The grass hadn't come in yet so it offered the perfect amount of resistance to keep her from going to fast but the cushioning she needed when she would crash.

Opening Presents

It goes without saying that Avery is spoiled.  It is kind of hard not to spoil her when someone is this excited about opening presents.

Party Walkin

Avery will walk with whoever holds her two hands or gives her something good to push.  She gets a huge smile on her face and will go until she sees Charger.  During the party about everyone took a turn walking her around the yard or the house.

Cake

This post is about cake.  Not the band, but the popular frosted pastry.

 A Marshall family picture centered around cake.  The only better picture would be around a plate of bacon. In my opinion.....

Birthday Party

A good time was had by most, but no one had more fun than Avery.  I have a ton of good pictures, but here are a couple for now until we finish cleaning the house.

For whatever reason, the cake eating was the only time she wasn't smiling.  Perhaps it was the people hovering over her taking pictures.

This is the face that she used to greet every visitor to the house and the smile she had on her face except for the cake eating.

Happy Birthday to my little princess.  One year ago you entered our lives and changed us forever.  We are so blessed to have this healthy, happy, loving angel living with us.

Eating Out

Last weekend Avery let us take her out to lunch for Vietnamese.  She does pretty well in a restaurant if there are plenty of people for her to look at and smile to.  At this place every waiter that came by she would perk up and give them a big grin as they walked by.  This is her exploring rice noodles.

This past weekend we ended up going out for burgers for lunch on Sunday.  Once again the waiters were her favorite people in the place, but she had a good time smiling at the people at the table beside us.

Stairs

This picture was Saturday.  I finally ordered the baby gates 10 minutes later.  If you have ever been to our house, you know we have a pretty tall set of stairs.  I could count them, but for argument's sake let's say 100.  Since you said 100, I am going to correct you and tell you that it is actually 18.  Tuesday night Avery decided to climb all 18 of them.  We of course were spotting her, but she didn't stop until she got to the top.

Combine this with the walking and the fun has just begun.....
