Weekend In Lumberton

Saturday we drove to Lumberton to hang out with Laura's family and eat oysters.  Avery of course had a great time being passed from Aunt to Aunt and seeing her grandparents.  We forgot our camera, so everything is cell-phone captured.

Teeth

I think we took this picture Wednesday night.  She woke up Tuesday night pretty upset.  We could feel that she got a tooth.  Later on this week she got a couple bottom teeth.  So far the teething thing hasn't been a big deal other than the first night where it took a few mins to calm her down.

Long Weekend

So we had a long weekend this weekend to celebrate being able to get a good deal on mattresses and kia's.  My mom and sister came down on Saturday to spoil Avery, but she decided to take a 2.5 hour nap in the morning, so they didn't get as much time with her as they would have liked.

Sunday since it was raining we all decided to sleep in.  Avery got up at 9:30 (830 on Sat and Monday), so I don't know what other parents complain about.....#HumbleBrag

Monday Avery went to day care for a few hours while Laura and I got to have an adult lunch.  Kind of like free baby-sitting, because they just take it directly out of our checking account.

For some reason we didn't take very many pictures, and the ones we did were very much out of focus.  Here are a couple of ones that weren't.

Table Food

So apparently we are supposed to be feeding her table food.  They are having good success at day care giving her all kinds of food she eats with her hands.  We are not having the same luck at home.  I think it is going well at daycare because it is one of those situations if she doesn't eat what's on the table she may not get to eat at all.  So she is trying new foods for her own survival.  At home she is willing to wear us down in order to get puffs and bottles instead of mac and cheese plus sippy cups.

You want me to eat this?  It isn't how they make mac n cheese at school....

JET

Stephanie brought Jayde over last weekend for a little play date with Avery.  You may remember Jayde from such previous posts as Happy Birthday Jet and Avery Jean and Her Good Friend Jayde.  Laura took some pictures of them playing so I will make up my version of what was going on while it was happening, because I wasn't there.

Things Avery has Learned

Whenever we are loading the dishwasher before or after dinner, Avery rushes over to the dishwasher.  I don't know if it is because she knows her fat little dog will be over there poking his nose in the dishwasher or that she just likes using it to stand up and explore.  Either way, it ends up that one of us holds her while Rob gets roped into doing the dishes as well as cooking.

Dishwashers have all the fun things in them, including the nose/tongue of a small dog that Avery is fond of.

Super Bowl

Super Bowl party at the neighbors was Super.  Avery had a great time smiling at everyone and was on her best behavior.  Go Football!
