Every day Carter spends more and more time awake and alert (even at 4am!!!)  Earlier this week he was chillin on the couch and was wide awake and alert.

Bath Time with Avery

Ever since Avery found out that Carter takes baths, she has been asking to give him one every single night because it is something that she can be present for.  Avery's job is clean Carter's feet and to ask a thousand questions.  I joke, but she loves everything about her little brother.

Apparently I forgot to post the pictures of Carter's first bath, so we gave him his first bath last night.  Just kidding....  Overall, he was a bit more active than Avery was for her first bath and Laura only got peed on twice.

One Month Old

Carter had his one Month Old Doctor's Appointment today.  He was able to put on a few pounds since birth and is now up to 8lbs 5oz, which puts him solidly in the 8th percentile.  This seems amazing compared to the amount of diapers he consumes and the amount of energy he uses make grunting noises.  His height was 21.5 (43%) and headsize was 14.74 (52%), so he definitely has a Marshall head

Avery and Carter

If you think we love Carter, you should see how much Avery cares about her little brother.  The first thing she does when she wakes up or I pick her up from school is ask what Carter is doing.  If Carter starts to cry, she immediately asks Laura, "Do you hear Carter crying?"  She loves to watch him eat, sleep, have his diaper changed, or take a bath.

Aunt Stephanie

Aunt Stephanie also came last week on Friday as she didn't get to hold Carter either when he was born.  Laura also got to go shopping with Stephanie and Avery and left Carter home with me for a solid hour!!  She could only stay for the day, but Avery woke up the next morning and asked where Stephanie was.

 Carter was pretty cute that day.  Not quite a smile yet, but we are working on it.

More Visits

I may have all of these visits in the wrong chronological order, but we have had a lot of family come and visit over the past few weeks.

My parents and sister came back because my dad had not had a chance to hold Carter yet.  For some reason, we didn't take a picture of it, but I did take a couple pictures of Mom and Dad spoiling Anna and Avery.
