Other Random June Stuff

Some other random June pictures.

Avery had her last day of school...she looks so much older, but was still excited to go everyday as she was the first.

 Laura did another mud run for charity.  Thanks to everyone that donated!

We of course took the kids to Carowinds a few times.  Avery and Carter aren't quite big enough for the Fury 325 yet...

 However, Carter finally was tall enough to do the non-baby rides.  Here he is getting on the gliders for the first time.

You can just barely see is fluffy hair floating on the side of the car under my elbow.  He was cackling laughing the entire time.

 Well maybe we went a little too hard.

 We went to my favorite pizza place for Father's day.

 And Avery let me pull her first tooth out!

We also did an adults Carowinds trip with the Rotmans for my birthday (thanks mom and dad) and Laura finally rode the Fury.  She even did it 3 times!

Beach Trip

So while I went on a golf trip in early June, Laura took the kids to the beach with Mary and Julie.

The first day was rainy, so they took the kids to the aquarium.  Avery touching a starfish...You knew Carter was going to do it.  I am not sure how Laura kept him out of the tank...

 What I imagine the weekend was like...

They did get some beach time the first day, so Carter was loving all the dirt he could play with.

 Somone didn't take a nap, so he fell asleep during dinner.

 Avery is such a good big sister.  There are so many pictures of her helping her brother build sandcastles that I am sure he stomped down as soon as they were done.

Welcome to the Space Jam

Avery has been in dance class for the past year with her BFF Lily.  They decided they wanted to do a hip hop class and every Thursday they have been learning moves and practicing their routine.  A few weeks ago it was time for them to show it off.

First up was the dress rehearsal on Friday night.  Avery was pretty excited about it all week.

 On Saturday it was time for the big show.  Avery was supposed to be there around 5:30.  Laura and Avery decided to go early to see a few more routines as the event started around 4.  Avery's class was number #83 on the list.  Out of 90...  I think she went on at 8pm.  So we had a toddler to entertain.  Luckily he was enjoying the show a lot...  For a while...  But we brought plenty of snacks and there were plenty of other families in a similar situation so he had some buddies to play with.

The Month of Jude

So it seems that 90% of the pictures from the month of May include Jude, so he will get his own post.

We invited the Heisinger's to Charlotte one weekend to go to Carowinds for Jude's birthday.

I think he was nervous about the rides at first, but he couldn't let Avery out do him and they both had a lot of fun on all the rides.

Then the next weekend, Laura took the kids to Vass for Jude's other birthday party at the farm.  They rented a big waterslide that the kids (and adults) loved.  Carter ended up being the first one to climb it and go down it even before he had his bathing suit on.  The smile on his face in this picture says it all.

Laura said she had to drag them off of this thing because they kept running up and sliding down.

Avery was the only girl that Jude invited and was able to hang with the older boys the entire time.

The next day it was time for some horsing around, so they headed over to see Vega and Bucky.  Carter checking out the bigger horses with Uncle Joe, then deciding that he wanted a closer look.

Of course Carter had to do all the stuff the big kids did like climb the hill and play in the dirt.
