Disney Day 2

Day 2 at Disney started with breakfast with Disney Junior characters at Hollywood Studios.  Avery was pretty stoked to meet the cartoons that she watches in the few moments that she is not watching The Little Mermaid related programming.

Sophia the First!
 Thumbs up for Manny!
She let Doc McStuffins check her out.
And Lily's favorite cartoon, Jake from the Neverland Pirates.
During the breakfast they would have dance and sing alongs.  We were sitting up front so Avery had no problems getting involved.
 Ear to Ear grins...

Hollywood Studios doesn't have a lot of rides that are kid friendly, but has a lot of shows that Avery loved.  First up, "The Little Mermaid" show...
A "Frozen" sing-along show...  The funniest part was when they started the sing along for "Let it Go" the host said, "Dads, this one is for you..."
Where it snowed on us at the end.
 A Disney Junior puppet show...
Avery using her telescope to help Jake look for Captain Hook.
Then a Beauty and the Beast musical...

Throughout the shows, this was the look on Avery's face.  She was pretty much blown away and speechless at everything.

More Disney!

Day 1 continued with a trip to what would be her second favorite ride, "Under the Sea, A Journey with Ariel".  She obviously was pretty excited about going on it despite not knowing what it would be other than the "Ariel Ride."
The first trip through the ride was pretty much just wide-eyed, open mouth amazement.
After doing a few more rides it was time to head to dinner near the castle.  They were performing a show on the steps, so Avery stopped and watched in amazement.
Dinner was with the characters of Winne the Pooh.  Avery was a bit shy with them, but warmed up quite a bit over our visit.
 Winnie the pooh!
 And Tigger!!
She also carried around a princess autograph book that she got all of the characters to sign.  She thought it was so funny when they would sign them.
 And piglet!
Big smiles for all the characters...
One the way out we stopped to watch one of the parades.
She was dead tired, but kept on going like a champ.

DISNEY!!!

What happens when you take the happiest person in the world to the happiest place in the world?  We took a lot of pictures, but so many of them were so good from her smiling ear to ear that I will have to post a bunch of them.

First up was the journey...  She was pretty excited to get on the bus at the airport.  She had been bouncing off the walls all week and now she was finally on her way.

I thought she would be pretty excited about seeing all the airplanes at the airport, but wouldn't sit still and look at them very long.
Overall, the flight went pretty well and she traveled pretty well.
Once we got to Disney we had to have a doctor come and visit us in the hotel room because she wasn't feeling well.  She rebounded pretty well after getting some medicine in her and we were off.  The hotel we were staying at we would take a boat to the Magic Kingdom, so it made for an adventure each day getting to the parks.
The first stop was to meet her favorite princess of all.
Ariel!!!!  Everytime she met the princesses, she was pretty quiet and amazed.
Big smiles for her favorite princess.
Next up, riding Dumbo as a family.
I think she was having a good time, despite being a little under the weather.
Then we did the Winnie the pooh ride as a warm up for dinner.
As well as a trip on the Carousel.

Eleanor Mae

The weekend after New Years, the Giorgi's were supposed to come to our house and Mary and Laura were going to trade baby clothes as they are having a girl.  However, their daughter decided to come before new year so we headed to Greenville to hang out.

Avery of course had a lot of fun with her buddy Easton, although she couldn't hit a jumpshot to save her life.

 Dance party with Easton.
Laura getting some practice in with Ellie Mae.

Christmas (#7)

Christmas number 7 (and final!) was at the Gibson household.  We had a good day of doing not a whole lot and watching Mimi and Papa and Aunt Stephamie spoil Avery Jean.  We also got to hang out some with Bucky, but we didn't really take any pictures.

Avery looking cool in her christmas jammies!!
She did a good job distributing presents by going and picking hers first.
 One Ariel!

Two Ariels!!!

Christmas (#6)

So on Saturday morning we packed up the Pilot (now overflowing) and headed down the road to Vass for a couple celebrations with Laura's side of the family.  We went first to have dinner with Laura's mother's parents side of the family.  Luckily the weather was pretty good, so the kids got to spend some time outside before we ate.

Avery and her cousin Aiden in the one moment that Aiden was sitting still.
 Playing with bubbles outside.
All of the cousins together.  We took several pictures, but not everyone was cooperative at the same time.
Avery and her cousin Wren who is just about a year older than her.

Christmas (#5)

The next Christmas on the agenda was heading from Taylorsville to Greensboro for my immediate family.

Getting spoiled by Gigi and Ru...
Getting help from Uncle David putting things together.
Laura using the classic bait (Nanny crunch) to get Anna to join her on her lap.  You can see in the background the result of Anna and Avery play time.
 Avery and Anna art time.
My mom got out some old photo albums and Avery loves to look at old pictures to find her daddy.
Avery and Anna eating breakfast.  I am guessing that Anna has already finished off 2 plates while Avery is arguing about having to eat at all.
